Privacy Policy

This policy explains how York Radon handles information related to this website.

What this site collects

York Radon does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking tools. There are none on this site, and this policy will be updated to describe any such tool before it is added, not after.

The one place information is collected is the Radon Ready Kit request form. If you use it, you give us two things:

  • Your first name — so the email that delivers the kit isn't addressed to nobody.
  • Your email address — so we can send you the kit.

That's the whole list. The form does not ask for your phone number, your address, your radon test result, or anything about your health, and there is nowhere in our records to put them.

What we do with it

We use your name and email to send you the Radon Ready Kit, and we keep a record that you requested it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for unrelated purposes.

Requesting the kit is not a request to be contacted by a contractor. Asking for an educational download is not the same as asking for a quote, so a kit request is not passed to a radon provider. If York Radon later offers a way to be connected with a professional, that would be a separate, clearly-labelled request that you choose to make.

If we ever want to use your email for something beyond sending the kit and directly related information, we'll ask you first.

Service providers that process this information

We don't run our own mail servers or data centres, so two service providers handle information on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the request record (your first name and email address).
  • Resend sends the email that delivers the kit, and an internal notification to us that the kit was requested. It receives your first name and email address in order to send those messages.

Both process this information to deliver what you asked for, and each has its own privacy terms.

For basic abuse prevention, our server converts the connecting network address into a salted one-way hash and stores only that hash — never the address itself. Its only job is to count submissions within a rolling one-hour window, so that automated abuse can be throttled.

Once that hour has passed, the record stops counting toward anything. It is then deleted during the next request the form handles, rather than on a timer — so if the form is quiet, an expired record can sit unused in the table for longer than an hour before cleanup removes it. It is not used for anything in the meantime, and it is never linked to your name, your email address, or your kit request.

Radon test results and provider information

York Radon does not perform radon testing or mitigation, and does not receive or store your radon test results. The kit is designed so you write your own numbers down on paper, and they stay with you.

No guarantees

No method of storing or transmitting information online is completely secure. This policy describes York Radon's intent and practices; it isn't a guarantee about how any third-party service, provider, or platform handles information once it's been shared with them.

Your information, and questions

You can ask us to delete the record of your kit request, or to correct your name or email, and you can ask us to stop emailing you.

Email privacy@yorkradonmitigationpros.com and tell us what you'd like done. It reaches a monitored inbox. Please write from the address you signed up with, or tell us which address to look for, so we can find the right record.

On email specifically: right now the only message we send is the single email that delivers the kit. There is no mailing list and no follow-up sequence, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from. If that ever changes, we will add a one-click unsubscribe to every message and update this page before the first one goes out — not after. In the meantime, asking us at the address above to stop emailing you is enough.
